Ergo Proxy S01

The story begins in a dark future after the destruction of most of humanity due to a nuclear disaster. Humans live in cities surrounded by protective domes due to biological changes caused by atomic bombs. In this organized society, humans live together like sheep, and robots called AutoReivs also help them for greater comfort. However, things don't always remain calm. A series of robots infected with a virus called Cogito start committing murders in this peaceful and sensitive environment. This is where detective Re-l Mayer, along with her robot Iggy, begins investigating to find the source of these murders. The story becomes more complicated with the addition of Vincent, an immigrant from Moscow who is now under a dome and carries a painful past. On the other hand, the city's leaders are working on designing a half-human called Proxy, which they believe is the way to save humanity from its problems. Will they succeed, or will the Proxies create new problems? Can the detective uncover the mystery behind the murders? What is Vincent's secret that even thinking about it causes him immense pain?
